Openfort adds Arbitrum One and Nova and supports for Orbit chains

Openfort has integrated Arbitrum One and Nova, and extended support for Orbit chains. This update allows game developers to use Arbitrum's scaling technology while maintaining the smooth user experience provided by Openfort's smart wallets.

What is the Arbitrum Integration?

This integration allows developers to build games on the Arbitrum network while using Openfort to handle gas sponsorship, account abstraction, and invisible transactions. By supporting Arbitrum Nova, Arbitrum One, and Orbit, we are giving studios the flexibility to choose the right scalability solution for their transaction volume and security needs.

Arbitrum's platforms offer different advantages for on-chain applications:

  • Arbitrum Nova: Best for games and social apps requiring high throughput and low costs (often under $0.01).
  • Arbitrum One: Fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), ideal for more complex DeFi and GameFi projects.
  • Arbitrum Orbit: Highly customizable, allowing studios to build their own dedicated app-chains.

With this integration, developers can build more engaging games without worrying about the cost or complexity of on-chain interactions.

Joan Alavedra, Co-Founder of Openfort, shared his thoughts: “Integrating Arbitrum's diverse platforms with account abstraction technology from Openfort significantly uplifts the gaming ecosystem. We are making it more accessible, scalable, and enjoyable for the gaming community.”

Jack Fitzpatrick of the Gaming Partnerships team at Offchain Labs shared the following: “Account Abstraction serves to address many of the pain points associated with onchain UX today. Solutions like Openfort allow developers to take advantage of features like sponsored gas, auto-signing transactions, and even social login with account recovery options.

It’s a major upgrade for the end user and an important step in the road to mass adoption. We’re excited that Arbitrum gaming teams have access to a reliable solution across the entire Arbitrum stack in Openfort.”
