Openfort System Prompt
Enhance your AI assistant's understanding of Openfort's React SDK by adding this system prompt. It provides comprehensive guidance on authentication, wallet management, and blockchain interactions.
The Prompt
Adding to Your AI Assistant
Option 1: AGENTS.md (Recommended)
The simplest approach is to create an AGENTS.md file in your project root:
# Create AGENTS.md in project root
touch AGENTS.mdThen paste the system prompt content into this file. Most AI assistants will automatically apply it when working on your project.
Option 2: Editor-Specific Rules
For editor-specific configuration, choose your AI assistant:
For VS Code-specific configuration following VS Code's custom instructions documentation, create workspace instructions:
Via VS Code UI
- In the Chat view, select Configure Chat (gear icon) → Chat Instructions
- Click New instruction file
- Choose Workspace to create it in
.github/instructions/folder - Name it
openfort.instructions.md - Configure the YAML frontmatter:
--- description: Guide for using Openfort React SDK applyTo: "**" --- - Paste the system prompt content below the frontmatter
- Save
Manual Setup
Alternatively, create a file at .github/copilot-instructions.md in your project root and paste the system prompt content. This file applies automatically to all chat requests in the workspace.
For Cursor-specific configuration following Cursor's rules best practices, create a project rule:
Via Cursor UI
- Open Cursor Settings → Rules
- Click New Cursor Rule or use the command
New Cursor Rule - Name it
openfort.mdc - Set the type to "Apply Intelligently" with description:
"Guide for using Openfort React SDK" - Paste the system prompt content
- Save
Manual Setup
Alternatively, manually create the file at .cursor/rules/openfort.mdc in your project root and paste the system prompt content.
For Windsurf-specific configuration following Windsurf's rules documentation, create a workspace rule:
Via Windsurf UI
- Click the Customizations icon in the top right slider menu in Cascade
- Navigate to the Rules panel
- Click + Workspace to create a new workspace-level rule
- Name it
openfort - Choose an activation mode:
- Always On: Rule always applies
- Model Decision: Based on natural language description
- Glob: Apply to specific file patterns (e.g.,
*.tsx,src/**/*.ts)
- Paste the system prompt content
- Save
Manual Setup
Alternatively, create a rule file at .windsurf/rules/openfort.md in your project root and paste the system prompt content.
