Manage users

Use the Users page of the dashboard to manage all registered users in your Openfort application.

User table

The user table displays all users that have been registered within Openfort for your selected application. This table only shows users who have been created through Openfort's systems, whether via direct authentication or through your application's integration. You can see important information including:

  • Provider used for authentication
  • API ID (unique identifier)
  • Creation date
  • Last sign-in timestamp

The user table is paginated to display 10 users at a time. You can navigate through the list using the Previous and Next buttons at the bottom. The current view range is displayed, for example "Viewing 1 to 10 of 838 results".

User details

Clicking on a user's API ID opens the user details page, where you can see comprehensive information about the selected user, including:

  • Details

    • API ID
    • Description
    • Creation timestamp
  • Metadata

    • External User ID
  • Accounts

    • Chain (for example, Polygon)
    • Wallet address
    • Status (Active/Inactive)
    • Creation date
  • Transactions View and manage user's transactions, including asset transfers and NFT minting

  • Sessions Monitor and manage user authentication sessions for frictionless interactions

Authentication

The drawer displays session data such as when the user first logged into your app and when they were last seen. The "Last seen" field is a rough approximation, accurate to within an hour of when the user was last active in your app.

If you're using a third-party authentication provider instead of Openfort's authentication solution, this section remains empty, and you manage your authentication through your chosen provider's interface.

Deleting users

From the user drawer, you can delete a user if necessary. This is an irreversible and destructive action; if the user logs into your app again, they have a new user's ID (playerID), must relink any formerly linked accounts, and get a new embedded wallet address. Take extreme care when deleting users.

For security of user assets, Openfort does not delete the embedded wallet, and instead "soft deletes" it by disassociating it from the deleted user. If the user still has access to their login method and their wallet password, if they have set one, their wallet can be recovered after deletion.
